It is about your future…
Give Teamsters Local 25 a chance to represent you!

“I have been a member of Teamsters Local 25 since my co-workers and I voted for the Teamsters in 2005. They have been a breath of fresh air for us. Our managers have backed off and now just let us do our jobs. I would urge anyone with the opportunity to vote for the Teamsters to VOTE “Yes ” !

--- Bobby Aguier -  Steward Thyssenkrupp/Safway Braintree, MA

“I work in the trash industry as a member of Teamsters Local 25 at Waste Management. I thank God everyday that I have this union behind me in my workplace. Do your self and your families a favor and VOTE “Yes” for Teamsters Local 25 ”

--- Jerry Triano – Waste Management  Somerville, MA

“I work hard for my money and benefits hauling cars across New England. I want a strong union like Teamsters Local 25 behind me when management decides that they don’t like me anymore. Without a union in your workplace the company can do whatever it wants to you without recourse. That is unfair! Give Local 25 a chance to represent you, you won’t regret it”

--- Rich Sherlock – Teamsters Local 25 Car Haul Division.

“I work in the Freight Industry at New Penn Motor Express in Billerica, MA. I have seen my company mismanage itself almost into extinction. I recently had to make the tough decision to take a 10% wage cut to keep the company alive. The Teamsters stood by us and let us make the decision for ourselves. The leadership at Teamsters Local 25 is smart and dedicated, and would never try to hurt one of their signature companies. Do the right thing for your families and VOTE “Yes” for Teamsters Local 25.”

--- Tim Halloran  - Steward New Penn Motor Express  Billerica, MA

“I can’t say enough about our representation by Teamsters Local 25. At U.S. Foods in Everett, MA, we have 190 Drivers and Warehousemen. The union treats us equally whether you are a driver or a warehousemen. My job is very hard like yours,  I deliver frozen food to restaurants and schools. My advice to you is to stand up and get the respect you deserve. VOTE “Yes” for Teamsters Local 25.”

Paul Mathi – Steward U.S. Foodservice  Everett, MA

“I am new to Teamsters Local 25. I have been a member since 2008. My colleagues and I make very good money at Kraft Power. Some of us make almost $30.00 per hour. Sometimes it is not about the money. It is about how you are treated in the workplace. Give the Teamsters a chance. We did and we don’t regret it.”
VOTE “Yes ”!

--- Dave Pierce – Kraft Power  Woburn, MA

ATTENTION  DRIVERS and HELPERS…

Your Employee Rights:

The National Labor Relations Act extends rights to many private-sector employees including the right to organize and bargain with their employer collectively. Employees covered by the Act are protected from certain types of employer and union misconduct and have the right to attempt to form a union where none currently exists.

Examples of Your Rights As An Employee Under the NLRA Are:

  1. Forming, or attempting to form, a union among the employees of your employer.
  2. Joining a union whether the union is recognized by your employer or not.
  3. Assisting a union in organizing your fellow employees.
  4. Engaging in protected concerted activities. Generally, "protected concerted activity" is group activity which seeks to modify wages or working conditions. (workers talking to workers)

Examples of Employer Conduct Which Violate the NLRA Are:

  1. Threatening employees with loss of jobs or benefits if they join or vote for a union or engage in protected concerted activity.
  2. Threatening to close the plant if employees select a union to represent them.
  3. Questioning employees about their union sympathies or activities in circumstances that tend to interfere with, restrain or coerce employees in the exercise of their rights under the Act.
  4. Promising benefits to employees to discourage their union support.
  5. Transferring, laying off, terminating, assigning employees more difficult work tasks, or otherwise punishing employees because they engaged in union or protected concerted activity.
  6. Transferring, laying off, terminating, assigning employees more difficult work tasks, or otherwise punishing employees because they filed unfair labor practice charges or participated in an investigation conducted by NLRB.

The NLRA forbids employers from interfering with, restraining, or coercing employees in the exercise of rights relating to organizing, forming, joining or assisting a labor organization for collective bargaining purposes, or engaging in protected concerted activities, or refraining from any such activity. Similarly, labor organizations may not restrain or coerce employees in the exercise of these rights.

(In the United States of America you have a right to join a union.)
