Teamsters Local 25 Driver Training Program

Local 25 offers a full-time Driver Training Program to it's membership. Members of Local 25 can obtain their Commercial Drivers License A (tractor-trailer) or Commercial Drivers License B (straight box truck) at the Teamster Driving School. The following criteria must be met to enter the Teamsters Local 25 Driver Training Program:

  1. Must be a member of Teamsters Local 25 in "good standing" with all of your monthly dues and initiation fees paid up to date.
  2. Obtain a CDL A or CDL B learner's permit from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
  3. Obtain a DOT physical (Department of Transportation) from your Primary Care Physician.
  4. Once you have completed the above tasks, you must go to the Teamsters Local 25 headquarters in Charlestown, Massachusetts and complete an application for the Driving School.

Member Orientation

The Member Orientation Program invites all members, especially new members, to attend a 2-hour session that is held on a monthly basis on the third Sunday at 8:00am at the Local 25 Union Hall.

This very informative seminar covers many subjects including; what is means to be a member of Teamsters Local 25, the history of our great union, the rights and responsibilities of members, how to understand what is covered in a collective bargaining agreement, the ongoing activities and the many services provided by Local 25.
