Letters
From President Sean O'Brien

March 26, 2009
Dear DCP-Northeast Driver/Helper:
I am writing to thank you for your patience
during this campaign. I know you have been bombarded with information
from both our local union and your management team at DCP-Northeast.
The campaign will be over soon. The ballots will be counted
on Wednesday April 1, 2009 at 7:00 P.M.
Teamsters Local 25 has been organized since
September 28, 1900. We have been representing workers just
like you for 109 years. Since our beginning we have successfully
negotiated and renegotiated hundreds of contracts without resulting
in a strike or work stoppage. We are proud of our history and
believe we will continue to represent workers for many years
to come.
Deciding whether to join a union is always
a very hard decision for a worker.
I pledge to you that if we are victorious in this organizing
drive, my team at Loca1 25 will work hard to negotiate a fair
and equitable contract that both sides can agree on.
Our goal as a Union is to develop a strong
working relationship with both the member and the company,
which insures long term profitability for both parties.
Please look over the enclosed information.
I hope the information is helpful to you when making your decision
to join Teamsters Local 25.
Again I want to thank you for your support
during this organizing drive.
Sincerely,
SEAN M. O’BRIEN
President / Principal Officer
