Retirees Chapter 25

History
Teamsters Local 25 Retiree Chapter was chartered June 18, 1984. The first meeting was held on June 26, 1984 at the Knights of Columbus in historic Charlestown, Massachusetts.

The chapter was formed so that members could get together to exchange ideas, keep abreast of information pertaining to retirees and politics, discuss old times, become a helping hand to the rank and file, and try to instill the importance of voting in local and national elections.

2008 RETIREE CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

On Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the General Monthly Membership meeting the Retiree Chapter awarded their scholarship to Jessica Daigle.  Jessica is the granddaughter of Paul J. Amoroso, Sr. of Revere, Massachusetts.  Paul retireed out of New Penn Motor Express.  President Joe Conti presented Jessica with her scholarship, which is in the amount of $2,000.00.  President Joe Conti and the Retiree Chapter hopes this scholarship will help defer the cost of college tuition and help a student further their education.

Also, President O’Brien surprised the students with a raffle drawing for two (2) lap tops.  He called President Joe Conti up to pull the lucky students.
