Open to high school seniors of full time
members who plan to attend college in the fall. Teamsters Local
25 is proud to offer students of our members the opportunity
to apply for three annual scholarships administered by Teamsters
Local Union No. 25, Joint Council 10 New England and the International
Brotherhood of Teamsters.

2012 SCHOLARSHIP CEREMONY
Our 2012 Scholarship Ceremony was held on
Sunday, May 20, 2012, during our General Membership meeting.
This is one of Teamsters Local 25 favorite and proud days.
We awarded $60,000.00 to 30 children of our members. Each student
received a $2,000.00 scholarship to help defray the rising
tuition cost. This is the most we have ever awarded due to
the help of our 10 (10) Sponsored Scholarships. We are very
proud to be able to support our member’s children with
their higher education. Teamsters Local 25’s goal is
to be able to provide many more scholarships to our membership
in the future.
Our Charity Golf outing is our main fundraiser for our Scholarship
fund, which will be held on September 22, 2012.
President O’Brien spoke and addressed
the recipients and there families before the membership meeting
started. During the meeting each student received a scholarship
plaque in front of the membership and we learned where each
student would be attending college. At the end of the presentation
President O’Brien surprised the recipients with a drawing
of two (2) Dell laptops, which were generously donated by Corporate
IT Solutions. We thank Corporate IT Solutions for adding such
an important and special touch to this program.
