Fight Autism with Local 25

Teamsters Horseman Association
"Ride For Autism" A Huge Success!

The Teamster Horsemen set off for the first “Ride for Autism” on Sunday, May 31, 2009. They had over 90 motorcycles. The ride began at Freetown and ended in Berkley Mass. At the end of the ride, the Horsemen put together a family day at the American Legion Post, with a barbecue, games, face painting and raffles. They raised $2,400.00 in this “Ride for Autism.” The event was great fun and the Teamsters Horsemen Association is very proud, as they should be. We here at Local 25 are very proud of the Horsemen taking it one step further to help Autism Speaks try and find a cure.

Special thanks, to the Women’s Committee for coming to the American Legion Post and helping out the Horsemen.

On Sunday, June 7, 2009 The Horsemen presented Executive Director Vin Goglia of Autism Speaks the check at the Stop& Shop facility.

People involved in putting the event together are the following: Craig Wilcox, John Linscott, Steve Victoria, Rob Lee, Lynn Soares, Tom Lavoie, Bill Tarushka, Rusty Frizzell, Doug Francey, Kerry Mason, Carl Mason, Richard Doyle, Danny Vaudry, Karin Mello, Paul Weidenbach, Virgil Furtado, Jim & Cathy Williams, Jimmy Troini & John Manley.
